Derma Fillers are injectable substances that are made of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body that helps to hydrate and plump the skin. Hyaluronic acid fillers are commonly used to fill in lines and wrinkles, enhance the lips, and restore volume to the cheeks and temples.
The total cost depends on the number of syringes used in each treatment . Schedule a free consultation to get an estimate.
The duration of the effects of dermal fillers can vary depending on several factors, including the type of filler used, the location of the injection, and the individual's metabolism and lifestyle habits. In general, most fillers last anywhere from 6 months to 2 years before the body naturally absorbs them.
Most people experience minimal discomfort during dermal filler injections. We use a fine needle or cannula to inject the filler into the target area. Many fillers also contain lidocaine, a local anesthetic, which can help to reduce discomfort during the procedure. Also, at Ulala, we will apply a topical numbing cream before the procedure to reduce discomfort.
However, the level of discomfort experienced can vary depending on individual pain tolerance and the location of the injection. Some areas of the face may be more sensitive than others, and larger volumes of filler may cause more discomfort.
Most people do not require significant downtime after a dermal filler injection, but some may experience mild swelling, bruising, or redness at the injection site. These side effects are typically mild and temporary, and can usually be covered with makeup or concealer if desired.
It's important to follow the aftercare instructions, which may include avoiding alcohol, strenuous exercise, and excessive sun exposure for the first 24-48 hours after the injection. You may also be advised to avoid touching or massaging the treated area for several hours after the injection.
1. For optimal results, and to minimize the chance of bleeding or bruising at the injection site, please avoid all blood-thinning medications and supplements for one week prior to your appointment. This includes over-the-counter medication such as aspirin, Motrin, ibuprofen, and Aleve. Also avoid herbal supplements such as garlic, vitamin E, ginko biloba, St. John's Wort and omega-3 capsules. If you have a cardiovascular history, please check with your doctor prior to stopping use of aspirin.
2. Inform your provider if you have history of Perional Herpes to receive advice on antiviral therapy prior to treatment (Valtrex 500 mg BID, 5 days, 2 days prior to treatment)
3. Avoid topical products such as Tretinoin (Retin-A) retinols, retinoids, glycolic acid, alpha hydroxy acid, or any "anti-aging" products for two days before and after treatment.

1. Avoid touching the treated area for at least 6 hours after the treatment to avoid introducing bacteria to the injection site.
2. If your treatment was lip fillers: Avoid kissing, puckering and sucking movements for the rest of the day as these motor movements can undesirably displace the implanted dermal filler material. You can cause irritation, sores, and/or problems, and possible scarring if you do so.
3. Avoid intense physical activity for 24 hours after the treatment to reduce the risk of bruising and swelling.
4. Avoid exposure to extreme temperatures, such as saunas, steam rooms, or hot showers, for 24 hours after the treatment.
5. Avoid drinking alcohol and taking blood-thinning medications such as aspirin or ibuprofen for 24 hours after the treatment, as they can increase the risk of bruising.
6. Apply ice packs or cold compresses to the treated area for 10-15 minutes every hour for the first 24 hours to reduce swelling and bruising.
7. Avoid applying pressure or massaging the treated area for at least 24 hours after the treatment, as this can cause the filler to migrate or dislodge.
8. Avoid exposing the treated area to direct sunlight or tanning beds for at least 24 hours after the treatment.
